Yesterday, we decided to do some minor sightseeing. First we found the RV place where our sunshades will be installed, and confirmed our appointment for tomorrow. We were very surprised when we went inside. The place looked very desolate on the outside of the building, but when we went in, it was like a small "Camping World" store!! We were impressed! So much to choose from. We did not find anything we could not live without though.
While we were on the way to "The Peanut Patch" we figured it was way too warm to leave Daisy (our dog) in the car. So we took her back to the rig and set the A/C for her and left the TV on for distraction. We found the place without incident. When we got to the place, we were impressed with the selection of wares for sale. Peanuts of course! BUT also a lot of nice dried fruit, jams, salsas and of course, Fudge!!!
We selected a few nice items and left the store. On the way out, we saw some cute orange trees. These orange trees had the smallest oranges on them we had ever seen!!! The oranges were less than 1 inch in diameter. My husband said maybe they were the ones you ate skin & all. We each tried one. It was good but VERY tart.
We started back to the rig and thought we might like to take a ride further down the road from the park we are in. The truck traffic on the road right behind the campground is quite active, we wanted to know where it was all coming from. Apparently, there are some fruit and vegetable packing places out here. While on the way, we saw some desert flowers and I took some pictures. Seems amazing the flowers can grow in the sand just about anywhere!
